Parents of LGBTQ+ Children Community Engagement Group
Parents are now, more than ever, looking for resources and groups to support our LGBTQ+ kids as we face a targeted political agenda going after LGBTQ+ youth. This Community Engagement Group (CEG) is for parents who have children identifying as LGBTQ+ and are looking for ways to connect with other parents to share experiences, knowledge and resources. For this CEG, Out & Equal has partnered with GenderCool, a youth-led organization that aims to replace misinformed opinions with positive experiences meeting transgender and non-binary youth to co-host a series of networking opportunities specifically for parents. This group meets quarterly and is open to partner companies and special invitees.
Out & Equal has curated a list of our best resources and stories below to support greater visibility and awareness of the for parents of LGBTQ+ children and LGBTQ+ children themselves.
Being able to share real-life examples and best practices among supportive parents of LGBTQ+ youth will make a meaningful difference in our collective ability to support these extraordinary kids. The Parents of LGBTQ+ Community Engagement Group provides a safe space to share, learn and feel supported.
