The LGBTQ+ community is not a monolith. It’s comprised of individuals from varying backgrounds, different lived experiences, and intersectional identities. With this in mind, Community Engagement Groups (CEGs), are designed to connect people and foster dialogue with individuals of similar identities and experiences.
Expert co-hosts facilitate the discussions and bring valuable insights, proven practices, and inspiring stories from the field of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB). These groups, which are dynamic and energizing, create meaningful connections that offer a safe and supportive space for members to reflect on the shared challenges they face, as well as their own unique experiences.
How you’ll participate:
- Join a private, unlisted LinkedIn Group. In this space, members can share resources, make announcements, and learn about upcoming events.
- Attend Zoom Roundtables. CEGs will convene three times per year, twice virtually and once in person at the annual Workplace Summit. Each convening will provide participants with opportunities to form deeper connections through shared challenges, successful strategies, and individual stories.
Requirements to join:
- Self-identification. Community Engagement Groups (CEGs) are designed to foster connection and dialogue among people who share similar identities (intersectional identities). By joining a group where members share similar experiences, participants can feel comfortable discussing challenges, sharing stories, and learning from one another.
- Out & Equal Partnership. Members must be employees of partner companies, trusted community organizations and non-profits, or Federal Government employees.
