2019 Out & Equal LGBTQI+ India Forum Brings Together 200 Participants from 90 Companies
August 8, 2019 – Out & Equal held the second-ever Out & Equal LGBTQI+ India Forum in Bangalore, India. Nearly 200 attendees from nearly 90 Indian and multinational companies attended the sold-out event to discuss ways to advance August 8, 2019 – LGBTQI+ workplace inclusion in the country and create cultures of true inclusion and belonging. Pride Means Family Too
July 18, 2019 – In a handful of US states, the growing visibility and acceptance of diverse families and family circumstances has begun to result in an examination of inherently inadequate policies which have historically aligned with the needs of married straight couples and ignored many of the needs of others. The legislatures in New Jersey, Connecticut, and Oregon, for example, have all passed laws this year that include a more expansive definition of families when it comes to employee rights to paid family leave.

More than 200 Major Businesses File Landmark Amicus Brief in Support of LGBTQ Workers
WASHINGTON — Today, the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), Lambda Legal, Out & Equal, Out Leadership, and Freedom for All Americans announced that 206 major corporations have signed a “friend of the court” brief that will be filed with the U.S. Supreme Court in a trio of cases that may determine whether LGBTQ people are protected from discrimination under existing federal civil rights laws – which prohibit sex discrimination in contexts ranging from the employment to housing, health care and education.
