“Let me first say unequivocally, Black Lives Matter! Black lives matter to me and to Out & Equal. Racism and its siblings white supremacy, white privilege, and white complacency must end. They will not end if we – and I am speaking to white people like myself – keep looking to the Black community for answers to our own behaviors. That doesn’t mean we eschew dialogue and learnings. But it does mean we name whiteness, we talk about race as something white people embody and for which white people gain unearned privileges.” – Erin Uritus
