Ryan is a partner in the Employment Law Department of Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s San Francisco office. Ryan’s legal practice includes employment litigation and counseling in various areas, including employment discrimination, retaliation, harassment, privacy, and wage and hour issues. He has defended clients through single-plaintiff, multi-plaintiff, and class action trials, arbitrations, and litigated before the National Labor Relations Board. Ryan maintains an active counseling practice and enjoys developing unique solutions for novel legal issues and advising clients on issues unique to the LGBTQ community.
Born and raised in a small-town in Alaska, Ryan received his law degree from The George Washington University Law School in 2006. He was recognized in 2020 as one of the top employment litigators under age 40, as a Law360 Rising Star.
Ryan and his husband Scott share their home in the Bay Area with their opinionated dog, Tally.
