Moriaki Kida

Moriaki (Mori) Kida is the Chairperson and CEO of EY Japan since 1 July 2021 and oversees Assurance, Tax, Consulting, Strategy and Transactions, responsible for the services EY provides to all clients headquartered in Japan as well as to foreign companies with business endeavors in Japan. He is also a member of the EY Asia-Pacific Area Operating Executive board. He has been an active member of the Global and Asia-Pacific Diversity and Inclusion Steering Committee as well as the Global Social Equity Task Force at EY and is a strong advocate on issues related to gender, LGBT+, those with diverse abilities, nationalities and cultural backgrounds. Mori has been committed to DE&I, leveraging his experience growing up in Japan and in the US, as well as working in the UK and various other short-term assignments in the Middle East and South America. He actively advocates for LGBT+ equality and has ranked in the Involve’s Hall of Fame as an Outstanding LGBT+ Executive Role Model. He holds a Masters in Sciences in Business Administration – Accounting, from San Francisco State University and a Bachelor of Music – Piano Performance, from the University of California, Irvine. He lives in Tokyo with his husband and their Shiba-Inu.
