Matu Ngaropo

Matu is a Māori performer from New Zealand and is a graduate of Toi Whakaari: NZ Drama School (Bachelor of Performing Arts, Acting Major 2003). His theatre credits include currently playing George Washington in Hamilton Australia; Disney’s The Lion King (Australian tour); The Māori Troilus & Cressida (NZ Arts Festival and Shakespeares Globe Theatre, London); Sweet Charity (ATC); Macbeth; Hamlet; Measure for Measure and The Comedy of Errors (Pop Up Globe Auckland and Sydney) and The Modern Maori Quartet:Two Worlds (China, London, Australia, Edinburgh and NYC) Matu’s TV and presenting credits include Shortland Street (SPP); Kōrero Mai and Kiwifruit (TVNZ).
He is a founding member of the award winning Modern Māori Quartet and proud Equity member since 2004.
