The United States Supreme Court, with its decision in 303 Creative LLC vs. Elenis, today gave the greenlight to some businesses to discriminate against the LGBTQ+ community. This is a dangerous precedent that will have implications for marginalized groups across the country.

We’re deeply disappointed in this decision. It builds on a dangerous push to curb the rights of our community and say we don’t belong. It also runs counter to where the vast majority of the broader public and leading, major businesses stand on the issue. We know a super-majority of Americans support LGBTQ+ nondiscrimination protections and that the leading and most successful businesses in the nation lead with inclusion.

Inclusion and equal protection under the law build stronger communities and environments where ALL individuals can thrive and reach their full potential. And while this decision and other bigoted legislation being proposed around the nation aims to drag us back, Out & Equal supported by our Partner community remains undeterred in our push for LGBTQ+ representation, inclusion, and equality.
