Overview
This report examines the barriers LGBTQ+ leaders face in advancing to senior leadership, shedding light on systemic bias, representation gaps, and the persistent “lavender ceiling” in workplaces. Drawing on survey data and interviews with 132 leaders—83% of whom identify as LGBTQ+ and 17% as allies—the research captures both lived experience and organizational realities.
The findings offer data-backed insights and practical recommendations to help organizations dismantle structural obstacles, strengthen leadership pathways, and build more equitable environments where LGBTQ+ talent can advance and lead authentically.
