July 19 & July 26:

(a virtual event)

Out & Equal is excited to announce the launch of the Next Gen Initiative: Summer Series, made possible thanks to our generous partners at Bank of America. This series is part of a larger investment by Bank of America in Out & Equal’s work to advance LGBTQ+ leadership.

Although interest in queer leadership continues to grow, the gay glass ceiling proves that the struggle to enter the C-suite is still very real for many LGBTQ+ leaders. This journey is of course, even harder for LGBTQ+ people who exist across multiple underrecognized identity groups. Add to that, learning how to navigate corporate environments for the first time ever, and you get a glimpse of the hurdles that many LGBTQ+ individuals encounter on their road to success.

Enter The Corporate World with Knowledge and Confidence

The Next Gen Initiative works to remove barriers that keep LGBTQ+ people from entering the corporate workforce. It teaches attendees how to leverage existing supports, like employee and business resource groups for community and connection. Above all, the Summer Series gives candidates an unfiltered glimpse at what success can look like as an out, LGBTQ+ professional. The program kicks off with two insightful, pre-recorded conversations between out LGBTQ+ and ally leaders at varying stages of their careers. Be inspired. Get strategic. Then, join us for two early-career networking sessions, dedicated to building community in an open and informal environment.

You’re Invited! The Next Gen Initiative: Summer Series is open to anyone in the first ten years of their career.
