Hosted by Milliken & Company
The American South presents rich opportunities for deepening LGBTQ and Ally engagement in workplaces and offering tailored programming to address the everyday realities of working and living in these communities. That’s why Out & Equal launched its Southern States Initiative in 2019 with a network of workplace advocates committed to making their workplaces true centers for belonging, inclusion, and innovation.
This year, Out & Equal is proud to hold our second annual Southern States Forum on December 4th. We are honored to partner with our virtual host, Milliken & Company, to provide this event as a part of our continued initiative to harness the collective power of business and tackle LGBTQ workplace equality issues in the South. Because the event will be held virtually, it will be easier to attend than ever before.REGister here
Through a powerful half-day virtual event packed with interactive workshops and keynotes, the Southern States Forum will equip businesses and their leaders with vital tools and support in their efforts to advance LGBTQ equality across the region. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in dynamic workshops, connect and network virtually, and learn from inspiring speakers and experts in the field of LGBTQ workplace equality.
The Virtual Forum highlights local voices and experts in LGBTQ workplace equality, and addresses key topics such as:
- the evolving legal and social landscape for the LGBTQ community,
- the intersection of race, racial justice, and LGBTQ inclusion in the South,
- religion and conflict management,
- cultivating empathy as workplace strategy for inclusion, and
- employee resource group development.
