2025 Southern States Forum: Charlotte
Building Belonging in the South: Together Forward

June 16 @ 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm America/North Carolina
Join us in Charlotte on Monday, June 16th, for the launch of Out & Equal’s 2025 Southern States Forum series—part of our expanded lineup of regional impact programs dedicated to advancing LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion across the South.
In a year marked by intensifying policy efforts and rhetoric targeting the LGBTQ+ community, the Southern States Forum is your space to connect, learn, and lead.
Our program is designed to bring together ERG/BRG leaders, inclusion practitioners, and executive allies from across the region to:
- Share region-specific strategies for workplace belonging
- Build resilient professional and ally networks
- Engage in peer-to-peer learning and sense-making
- Strengthen workplace culture through actionable insights
Our Charlotte event features tailored learning exercises, dynamic networking opportunities, and expert-led sessions—all designed to address the unique challenges and opportunities facing our community in the South today.
We are especially pleased to welcome Sarah Warbelow, Out & Equal’s new Senior Vice President for Law, Policy, & Research. As one of today’s most respected legal experts and co-author of the historic Equality Act, Sarah will help us find the signal through the noise and navigate the evolving landscape for LGBTQ+ inclusion.
You’ll leave reinvigorated for the path ahead, equipped with concrete skills, new connections, and resources to advance the business of belonging within your organization.
