“Empowering Differences: Allyship at the Intersection of Race and Gender, with Ashley T. Brundage,” is the final release in our Intersectional Learning Series, part of our larger Practitioners for Change program that’s powered by Capital One.

Join Ashley T Brundage, Founder and President of Empowering Differences, for a live, hour-long workshop deep-diving into the unique intersections of race and gender, and how we—as practitioners and as allies—can create actionable and inclusive communities. Participants will leave with a better understanding of how to turn their allyship into action for people at this intersection. This session will place an emphasis on how build spaces of belonging for trans and nonbinary people of color.

Ashley T Brundage started her second career as a means of survival. Fighting discrimination, harassment, and homelessness she found employment as a part time associate then rose to national Vice President of Diversity & Inclusion in less than 5years at a major financial services organization. She captured this process of career development in her new award-winning book and online course called Empowering Differences. Personally, she enjoys time with her 2 teenage boys who serve as the main source of inspiration and empowerment for her. She volunteers for numerous organizations most notably as the Vice Chair for the GLAAD National Board of Directors, which works to accelerate acceptance for the LGBTQ+ Community.
