It is our firm stance at Out & Equal that Black Lives Matter. The rights of LGBTQ people will not be secure until we end the systemic ways in which racism is used to oppress Black people and people of color. Together, we will keep using our voice and platform to work publicly and behind the scenes to support the Black community.

This is not a struggle that Black Americans should shoulder alone. It is a struggle for all Americans. White Americans need to step up and hold each other accountable. If we are not part of the solution, then we are part of the problem.
