Overview
Trans and nonbinary people in the U.S. face conflicting realities: unprecedented legal protections coexist with major federal gaps and a historic surge in state-level attacks. Many major employers offer gender identity protections and gender-affirming care, yet the community continues to experience disproportionately high unemployment. While more young people identify as trans and nonbinary than ever before, rising anti-trans rhetoric and legislation are causing severe harm.
This 2024 Virtual Workplace Summit session brings together trans and nonbinary advocates and corporate leaders to examine these challenges and explore pathways toward meaningful progress.

- Invest in Community Resilience and Grassroots Efforts: Recognize the critical role of trans-led organizations providing legal, healthcare, and support services, and extend corporate advocacy beyond the workplace into broader public engagement.
- Elevate Allyship Through Action: Encourage allies to volunteer, donate, and directly support trans-led organizations, addressing the significant funding gaps these groups face.
- Advance Inclusive Policies and Public Advocacy: Use corporate and individual influence to challenge discriminatory narratives, promote inclusive policies, and amplify trans and nonbinary voices across workplaces and communities.
