Karen is Director of Government Relations at Out & Equal Workplace Advocates in Washington, DC, where she leads the organization’s efforts to advance and support LGBT workplace equality policy within federal government agencies, corporate government relations offices, partnering with Employee Resource Groups, and on legislation with leaders of the Congressional Equality Caucus. Prior to this, she served as Associate Director of Government Relations for the U.S. Olympic Committee for over a decade. She was previously a nationally licensed Financial Advisor. Her undergraduate degree is from the University of California Santa Barbara in Political Science/International Relations, and she has a Master’s in Education from Springfield College in Massachusetts.
