Gender Attitudes and Wellbeing of Sexual Minority Women
Background
The study team is asking you to take part in this research study if you identify as a lesbian, bisexual, or queer woman over age 18. The study team wants to examine the unique ways that your gender attitudes relate to your well-being.
Purpose
Prior research has shown that women’s gender attitudes—meaning their views about gender roles and responsibilities, as well as their experiences of being a woman—affect their well-being in a variety of ways. In addition, we know that lesbian and bisexual women often express different gender attitudes than heterosexual women. We want to explore the unique ways in which lesbian and bisexual women’s gender attitudes affect their health and happiness.
