Mark your calendars for September 10-13, 2008 when we will hold the annual Out & Equal Workplace Summit in Austin, Texas.
The 2008 Out & Equal Workplace Summit will take place at the Austin Convention Center. As the world's premier conference on LGBT workplace equality, the Summit will once again create opportunities to unite and share the information needed to advance LGBT workplace equality.
The 2008 Summit co-chairs are:
- Victor Martinez
- Kayla Shell
- Donna Rose
This year, the theme is:
Creating Connections
Building • Progress • Together
The theme was chosen for several reasons. Austin is widely known as a center of creativity. Many of our participants have remarked that one of the best things about the Summit is the opportunity to make connections with people from different regions and industries. And as we look to the future, the ideas of "building" "progress" and "together" work individually and in unison to define our hopes and goals for the 2008 Out & Equal Workplace Summit.
Known for its casual and playful nature, Austin is the playground of Texas. Situated at the center of the Lone Star State, it stands as the gateway to the Texas Hill Country and the Highland Lakes. As the state capital and home to the University of Texas, the city supports a politically charged and culturally rich environment. It's hip, trendy, and high-tech. A large creative population-primarily musicians and artists-enhances its eclectic nature.
