Sam Chammas | Communications Intern
Sam is a recent graduate of Texas State University with a degree in Anthropology and a minor in Pop Culture Studies. She moved to Texas in September of 2012 from Athens, Greece, where she was born and raised. During her time at Texas State, Sam worked on her campus’s Writing Center as a writing tutor before becoming the PR Coordinator. Under this role, she maintained the Writing Center website, created marketing collateral, and oversaw social media outreach. Sam was active in several LGBTQIA groups and programs across campus in order to support and nurture fellow queer students, faculty, and staff at Texas State. Along with social justice and intersectional feminism, Sam is passionate about autism acceptance, as she herself is a proud autistic adult. In her spare time, she is an doting cat and plant mom, and an avid pop culture consumer.
