Maddison joined Out & Equal in March 2015. She graduated from California State University, Chico in December 2014 with a degree in English Literature and Multicultural Gender studies. Prior to Out & Equal, Maddison interned at The Gender & Sexuality Equity Center in Chico for 2 years, working both in the LGBTQ+ program and the Women’s program, planning and facilitating educational and awareness-raising events for marginalized groups and discriminated communities. She was also responsible for the center’s lead marketing strategy as the photographer and videographer, producing promotional campaign and recap videos for all events including national campaign Take Back the Night. Maddison has a strong passion for LGBT activism and feminism, believing in the strength of education and diversity outreach to dismantle social inequities. Maddison lives in Oakland – without any cats.
