Josh Lamont | Director of Communications
In 2017, Josh Lamont joined Out & Equal as Director of Communications. For more than 20 years, Josh has worked with public and private sector organizations to advance their missions, leading to his recognition by the Wall Street Journal as a “thought leader for Social Good” and from USA Today for his “innovative and unique communications strategies”. Josh was appointed by President Barack Obama in 2010 as a spokesperson for the Secretary of Labor and later as a member of the White House Advance team, working primarily with the first lady. Prior roles leading communications at GLSEN, amfAR and as a consultant for The Gill Foundation, round out Josh’s work and dedication to the LGBT community worldwide. A native of San Diego and graduate of Cornell University, Josh has spent his career primarily in New York City and Washington, DC, recently moving to his new home in San Francisco.
