Daniel Lawrence Smith | Director of Education Strategy
Daniel joined Out & Equal in April 2013. Working within the Training Department, Daniel collaborates with our network of partners to bring classroom, online training, and professional consultation within companies who are looking to create or further their diversity and inclusion efforts. A native New Yorker, Daniel loves living in his adopted hometown of San Francisco. While in New York, Daniel worked as Director of Individual Giving at the Empire State Pride Agenda, New York’s foremost LGBT civil rights and advocacy group. Daniel also spent several years as a yoga instructor. It was this experience, after leaving his early career in finance operations, which lead him to his passion for non-profit work. When not working, Daniel enjoys gardening, playing with his beloved calico, Neena, and going to the beach whenever the weather is warm enough.
