Aubrey joined the Out & Equal team in 2017 as an intern. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a minor in Psychology from Saint Mary’s College of California and has been to trying to learn as much as possible ever since. Prior to Out & Equal, she had several internships with the Port of Oakland in which Aubrey’s passion for serving her community and advocating for minority groups was recognized by the California State Legislature. In college, Aubrey served as a coordinator for the Student Coalition Against Rape and a Student Leader Initiating Diversity Education. In these roles she planned and facilitated programs surrounding social justice topics, feminism, and consent. It is her commitment to equitable institutions that keeps her driven and it is with this drive that she will pursue diversity and inclusion in all forms. When she’s not at work, Aubrey can be found trying new restaurants, planning trips to other countries, or tackling an extensive list of books at the local library.
