Out & Equal Workplace Advocates recognizes the power in organizing. For many employees, employee resource, network or affinity groups (ERGs) are important means to band together LGBT people in the workplace—whether for social support or to work toward building workplace equality.

ERGs help LGBT employees empower their workplaces with shared ideas and resources.

Yet not all ERGs develop at the same pace; some struggle with active membership and outreach, while others have international networks and executive support. In order to pull these groups together, Out & Equal is committed to developing an online space for ERGs to share best practices and develop useful contacts.

Through the Out & Equal ERG registry, we are compiling a list of ERGs, their contact information and additional details about each ERG’s programs, organization and leadership.

Out & Equal’s ERG registry offers you:

  • An inroad into an international network of LGBT ERGs that work to create out-and-equal workplaces
  • Opportunity to connect with Out & Equal staff for support or referrals to address problems or challenges your group might face
  • Information about events, activities, program suggestions and important news through our ERG e-newsletter
  • Access to a virtual ERG web space wherein ERG leaders can exchange best practices and pose questions to experienced and professional ERG leaders
