Each year, Out & Equal awards scholarships to people who might otherwise not be able to attend the Workplace Summit due to financial reason or because their employer is not supportive of LGBT issues. The scholarship program helps keep the cost of Summit low, which allows wider accessibility to this unique event. Scholarship recipients are usually students, non-profit employees, underemployed or unemployed.
If you apply please do not register to attend the Summit until you have received a response to you scholarship application. You will be notified about your application no later than September 30, 2013. Awards do not include hotel, transportation, or meal costs (other than meals included in the registration fee).
If you do not receive a scholarship, you are still eligible for an early registration rate, open until October 15, 2012.
Scholarship recipients are expected to volunteer a minimum of eight hours during the Workplace Summit. Signing up for a volunteer shift does not ensure that you will be selected to receive a scholarship.
