Each year, Out & Equal awards a few scholarships be people who might otherwise not be able to attend the Summit. Scholarship recipients are usually students, non-profit employees, or unemployed.
Scholarships are awarded on a sliding scale based on need and most recipients are responsible for partial co-payment of registration fees. Awards do not include hotel, transportation, or meal costs (other than meals included in the registration fee).
Scholarship recipients are expected to volunteer a minimum of 8 hours during the Summit. Signing up for a volunteer shift does not ensure that you will be selected to receive a scholarship.
The deadline to submit an application for a 2009 Summit scholarship, Friday, July 10, 2009, has passed. Unfortunately, Out & Equal cannot accept any late applications.
Scholarship recipients will receive special registration codes on Friday, July 24, 2009.
Do not register to attend the Summit until you have received a response to your scholarship application. If you receive a scholarship after registering for the Summit, you will not be able to apply your scholarship code to your registration fees.
If you have questions about Summit scholarships, please contact summit@outandequal.org [1].
