Atlanta, June 24, 2013 – Southern Comfort Conference and Out & Equal Workplace Advocates announced today that they will collaborate to host a Workplace Equality Day at the 2013 Southern Comfort Conference to support the transgender community through increased education, networking and collaboration on workplace issues. The Southern Comfort Conference is one of the largest gatherings of the Transgender community, taking place September 4-8.
The Out & Equal Workplace Equality Track will take place September 6, featuring two plenary sessions with leaders from the transgender community. Six workshops will be offered focused on: understanding workplace benefit, legal aspects of employment, transitioning in the workplace, securing employment, creating allies for the transgender community, and diversity within the LGBT community. Out & Equal will be showcasing its LGBT CareerLink service onsite to guide participants in finding employment.
