Three recently appointed members bring depth of experience to Board of Directors
SAN FRANCISCO, CA—FEBRUARY 27, 2013: Out & Equal Workplace Advocates announces the appointment of three new members to its Board of Directors: Renee Brown, Senior Vice President, Director of Social Media, Wells Fargo; Laura Crumley, Executive Director, Global Support & Deployment Finance, Dell Inc.; and Lori Fox, Founder and President of Lori Fox Diversity/Business Consulting.
“Each of the women joining the Board brings tremendous business expertise and represents corporations which are leaders in workplace equality. They will complement the outstanding skills, capabilities and passion of our existing Board members. I’m looking forward to the great things we will accomplish together to advance workplace equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people,” said Tom Johnson, President of Out & Equal Board of Directors, and Vice President of Global Business Services at The Clorox Company.
The new members bring deep and diverse experiences with Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) workplace policy and advocacy to Out & Equal’s board:
Renee Brown is a Senior Vice President and the Director of Enterprise Social Media at Wells Fargo. She served as the Executive Sponsor of Wells Fargo’s PRIDE team member network for three years and, pre-merger, of Wachovia’s LGBT resource group, GALEA. “I hope to learn from the fabulous leaders and board; and I will help by sharing my experiences with helping to grow other nonprofit organizations, insights on social media, and ideas to further develop the organization and grow the Out & Equal family,” said Brown.
An employee at Dell, Inc. since 2005, Laura Crumley now acts as the Executive Director of Finance for Global Support and Deployment Services. She also serves as co-chair of the Executive Advisory Board of PRIDE, Dell’s LGBT Employee Resource Group. Crumley said, “I’m honored to join the organization and look forward to working with a talented group of people in continuing to create inclusive environments on a global basis where people can bring their whole self to work.”
President and Founder of Lori Fox Diversity/Business Consulting, Lori Fox works as a personal coach and consultant for individuals and corporations on workplace issues, especially LGBT personal and professional development. She also serves as National Chairperson of Out & Equal’s Transgender Advisory Committee. “I'm pleased for this opportunity to serve as a role model as a Transgender woman and business professional,” said Fox. “I'm looking forward to working with a truly diverse group of people, expanding Out & Equal’s vision and mission for workplace equality worldwide.”
