Though same-sex relations are criminalized in India and the country faces high rates of workplace discrimination, transphobia, and homophobia, an increasing number of companies are making strides to advance LGBTQ inclusion. The 2018 Out & Equal LGBTQ India Forum Powered by IBM will convene a distinguished group of executives, LGBTQ leaders, and allies from domestic Indian and multinational corporations to discuss strategies for advancing workplace inclusion in the region. The Forum will provide participants with valuable education and best practices to begin or expand their efforts, as well as opportunities to form new connections with colleagues and peers from across a variety of companies and industries. The Forum will offer content in two tracks – one for companies just starting their LGBTQ inclusion journeys and the other for those seeking content and best practices in more advanced topics.

We are excited to return to India, an economic giant with a population exceeding 1.3 billion, and hope that you can join us as we share resources, best practices, and connect with like-minded representatives dedicated to forwarding the mission of equality in company policy and workplace culture throughout India. The Forum will be a full day event featuring a pre-conference session, workshops, panels, keynote remarks, and a closing reception exploring the unique challenges and opportunities in India for LGBTQ inclusion in addition to providing insight into how we might leverage our available resources and narratives to drive change in our companies.
