Each year, Out & Equal awards scholarships to people who might otherwise not be able to attend the Workplace Summit. The scholarship program helps keep the cost of Summit low, which allows wider accessibility to this unique event. Scholarship recipients are usually students, non-profit employees, underemployed or unemployed.
Scholarship rates for 2010 are $600 for a full conference three-day registration and $200 for a one-day registration.
The deadline to submit an application for a 2010 Summit scholarship, Friday, July 8, 2010, has passed. Unfortunately, Out & Equal cannot accept any late applications.
If you applied please do not register to attend the Summit until you have received a response to your scholarship application. You will be notified about your application no later than July 22, 2010. Awards do not include hotel, transportation, or meal costs (other than meals included in the registration fee).
If you do not receive a scholarship, you are still eligible for the early registration rates, open until July 31, 2010.
Scholarship recipients are expected to volunteer a minimum of eight hours during the Workplace Summit. Signing up for a volunteer shift does not ensure that you will be selected to receive a scholarship.
