2010 Leadership Celebration Overview

Out & Equal Workplace Advocates celebrated its third-annual Leadership Celebration on April 21, 2010, honoring role models and heroes in the movement to achieve lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender equal rights in the workplace and beyond.

At the event, held at the Le Parker Meridien in New York City, Out & Equal presented the 2010 Advocacy Award to Julian Bond, a champion for civil rights and a vocal ally and advocate for the LGBT community. The Out & Equal Advocacy Award is presented annually to corporations and individuals whose courage in supporting LGBT equal rights is unsurpassed.
